Today on The Cigar Authority we light up two cigars that have some rarity attached to them. In the first hour we will light up Pappy Van Winkle from Drew Estate. We’ll try not to take a 20 year nap, as we tell you the story of Rip and Julian “Pappy” Van Winkle. It’s also not the first cigar to have ties to the liquor industry and we will discuss how the two industries have worked together in the past.
In the second hour we will light up a cigar that has the famed Medio Tiempo tobacco leaf. This small tobacco leaf doesn’t grow on every tobacco plant. It is however in every cigar of Vallejuello Medio Tiempo which was part of The Cigar Authority care package for October.
All that and the usual bag of tricks Debonaire Mr. J, Asylum Barry, Cigar News, Classic 3 Way and even a few mail bags..

You've heard us hype up over the last few weeks the fact that we have a mystery guest joining us. Today is the day that all the secrets will be let out of the bag as our guest will tell you everything you wanted to know and perhaps things you wish you would have never known.
We will smoke a cigar in the first hour that has ties to our guest, and is as rare as they come. In the second hour we will light up Studio 21 from the Care Package and hear the story behind the brand and the lawsuits that followed.

Today, October 7th, 2017 we travel back in time as we look at the Cigar Industry throughout the decades starting in 1960. We will start things off with a cigar from La Aurora. The La Aurora Time Capsule Corojo is the first cigar of the October Care Package from the first cigar factory of the Dominican Republic
In the second hour we will look at cigars that changed countries and we will light up a Bahia from Costa Rica to start things up…

It’s International Podcast Day and the grand opening of Studio 21 Podcast Cafe. We look at the history of the podcast and explain how International Podcast Day began. But fear not my cigar smoking friends as we have some cigars to enjoy as well.
In the first hour we light up the last cigar of The Cigar Authority care package for the month of September. Last Call comes to us from AJ Fernandez and we will tell you all about it and share our thoughts.
In the second hour we light up the cigar that Mr. Jonathan calls his favorite cigar of all time. It comes to us from Selected Tobacco and we will tell you all about the Byron Serie Siglo XIX Grand Poema.

Inter-tabac is under way in Germany and we have the winners of the Cigar Trophy Awards as shared to us by our friends at Cigar Journal magazine.

It’s a good thing we got coffee as we are still recovering from the epic 32nd Anniversary party at Two Guys Smoke Shop. We will recap this event, and let you know how the event came together, the game, who was crowned King of Cigars, and who won out of all the customers attending the show. It was a crazy night and there will be a lot of stories to tell but it won’t just be about XXXII. We will unveil what is planned for 2018 at the 33rd Anniversary Event!
We will break down the latest issue of the best cigar magazine on the planet, Cigar Journal and we will even light up a couple of cigars. Including the Plus 90, which we got a lot of feedback and Barry will share the story at some point during our cigar experience as it is part of the Cigar Authority Care Package. In the second hour we will continue the Anniversary trend as we light up the cigar from Barry’s wedding on the eve of his 1st Anniversary.
