Cigars Italian Style with Michael Cappellini of Toscano Cigars

With Barry & Mr. Jonathan away, Dave accepts the challenge. He’s going to host to show solo with Ed Sullivino in the producer's chair. But have no fear, he has a special guest lined up as we welcome Michael Cappellini of Toscano Cigars to the show.

We will fire up two cigars from Toscano on the show including to Toscano Antico from The Cigar Authority Care Package. We will also light up a cigar that is getting its exclusive launch this weekend at Two Guys Smoke Shop, Toscano Stilnovo.

It’s Cigars Italian style as we will pair them with some imported cheese and meats from Italy and drink a little vino as well which is always a guaranteed good time.

The Cigar Authority Talks About IPCPR 2019

Dave is at IPCPR so today we come at you live on tape. We take a look at the 2019 IPCPR and go over a list of cigars that will make their debit at last IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas as next year it gets rebranded as the Premium Cigar Association. As we look over a list of 45 manufactures and well over 100 new cigars we fire up the Plasencia Alma de Campo which was part of The Cigar Authority Care Package. Will Plasencia have anything new at the show? Tune in to find out what is coming from Nestor Plasencia. 

In the second hour we light up a cigar that will be featured at the United Cigar booth. It’s a cigar that has some controversy tied to it as it is made from stems. There is nothing worse than cutting a cigar and seeing a stem at the cap, but as it turns out this only a visual faux pas. You see stems are an integral part of the blend as they add flavor and strength to the cigar. We light up El Tallo which has 100% of it’s fillers made from stems. We will break down the cigar and show you what the inside looks like and share our thoughts on this stick.

Boom Goes The Firecracker with John Fazzi & The PCA Fallout

If you have to sum up this week in one word it’s Explosive.

First we will start with the one that was planned. Since 2006 David Garofalo has released a cigar called The Firecracker. It’s a limited edition stick that comes out at least once a year. This year, that honor was bestowed to Kristoff cigars and we fire up the Pistoff Kristoff Firecracker in the first hour.

We will catch up with New England sales representative John Fazzi and find out what new with the company owned by Glen Case.

In the second hour we will discuss the other explosive news of the week as Barry broke the story about IPCPR becoming the Premium Cigar Association (PCA). He got wind of the news from his well placed sources and with a little investigative journalism he reveal the name change and the new logo. We have thoughts on wether this is good for the industry or bad for the industry as we all weigh in on what could be the beginning of the end for the most well know cigar show in the world.

We will do do this as we light up the Eiroa Jamastran 5 x 50.

Each year Two Guys Smoke Shop hosts an annual sit down dinner featuring the Father & Son or Daughter brand owner. This year we celebrate with Father (David Garofalo) and his Daughter as the La Gianna brand celebrates its 25th Anniversary. We sit down with Gianna herself as we learn about her history with the cigar industry. We will fire up a cigar from the Care Package as we light up La Gianna Natural Torpedo as we put Gianna on the hot seat and maybe get her to dish the dirt on her Father.
